Elite 14 is based on Tennis Canada’s Competition Stream program, focusing on the LTAD (Long Term Athlete Development) stage #4 “Consolidating” (ages 12-14).
The major focus of the program is to develop a solid foundation of technical, tactical, physical and psychological fundamentals and prepare the athletes for Stage #5 “Learn to Perform” (ages 15-18).
The coaches’ commitment to excellence consists of the following:
Fitness Training - Long Term Physical Development Program
Tennis Training Core Program – Long Term Athlete Development Program
You must have a tryout with the coach to gain acceptance into this program and you must be a junior member of the club.
2 hours of fitness and 4 hours of coaching every week. Optional match play and mental toughness training will also be part of the program.
